In this guide, you’ll learn what Ryujinx Prod Keys v22.5.0 and Title Keys do, how key and firmware versions relate to emulator compatibility, and how to verify your setup correctly.
The guide focuses on clear, practical information based on current Ryujinx workflows, helping both beginners and experienced users troubleshoot common key-related issues.
What Are Ryujinx Prod Keys and Title Keys?
Ryujinx Prod Keys are cryptographic keys that help the emulator process encrypted Nintendo Switch game and system data. Title Keys are associated with specific game content and work with the required system keys to decrypt compatible files.
If the necessary keys are missing, outdated, or incompatible, Ryujinx may show missing key errors, decryption problems, or games failing to launch. For a reliable setup, use compatible keys and firmware versions and obtain them from a Nintendo Switch console you own and are authorized to use.
Important: Prod Keys should only be obtained from Nintendo Switch hardware and software that you legally own. Using files from unauthorized sources may violate applicable copyright laws and emulator policies.

Where do Put Keys in Ryujinx Emulator?
To make Ryujinx work correctly, you need to place prod keys in the right folder and install the firmware through the emulator.
Prod Keys Location
Copy the prod.keys and title.keys files into the system folder inside the Ryujinx configuration directory.
Common paths include:
Windows
C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Roaming\Ryujinx\system\
Linux / macOS
~/.config/Ryujinx/system/
Steam Deck
/home/deck/.config/Ryujinx/system/
After placing the keys in this folder, restart Ryujinx so the emulator can detect them.
Firmware Installation
Firmware is not placed manually in a folder. Instead, it must be installed from inside the emulator:
- Open Ryujinx
- Click Tools → Install Firmware
- Select Install firmware from XCI or ZIP
- Choose your firmware file and confirm
Once installed, Ryujinx will use the firmware automatically, and you’ll see the firmware version displayed at the bottom of the emulator window.
